About the project

SoftLogic is a Russian manufacturer of neural network analysis systems: video analytics hardware, road infrastructure observation complexes, AI servers and accelerators. Two products needed visualization:

The project in detail
  • SC-iMVS-RM3 — a neural network observation complex for road infrastructure control: a rugged enclosure, three ultra-high-resolution cameras, a computing unit, GLONASS/GPS and LTE connectivity;
  • IVS-SC11 FP300-I — an AI accelerator card for servers and data centres: a tensor processor, a PCIe Gen5 interface and a massive copper heatsink. The manufacturer positions it as an energy-efficient alternative to the Nvidia A100.

Such hardware is hard to present with regular photography — the accuracy of ports, indicators and the overall enclosure shape matters. The client needed a set of assets for the catalogue and website: clean catalogue renders, a rotation animation and 3D models for interactive viewing.

The work

We completed the full cycle of work on both devices:

  • modeling of the enclosures from photos and a physical sample in two versions — high-poly and low-poly;
  • precise modeling of the panels: DC IN, GPS, CAM 1-3 connectors, LTE antennas and the STATUS indicator;
  • modeling of the AI accelerator card: copper heatsink, PCB and PCIe connector;
  • catalogue renders in different presentations: light background, dark background, dark stone surface, close-ups of the panels;
  • a 360° rotation animation;
  • export of the GLB model and its launch in the web viewer at the bottom of the product page on the client's website — interactive 3D viewing right in the browser.

The result

A single set of assets covers the catalogue, the website and presentations: complex technical products are now presented clearly and neatly, without needing to explain them "by hand". The SC-iMVS-RM3 observation complex model runs in the web viewer at the bottom of the product page on the SoftLogic website — visitors rotate and inspect the device in the browser. The model is also published on Sketchfab as a fully interactive 3D presentation.

The low-poly version of the model suits web viewers and interactive presentations while keeping the product instantly recognizable.
